This vehicle has a laundry list of problems, and I am selling AS IS, but it is mechanically sound, and drives very well. The engine is well maintained with regular oil changes, the transmission is smooth, and the brakes are good. Comes with 3rd row seating. It has a premium Bose sound system with Pioneer flip-up screen CD/DVD player (+ NAV!!), NO USB/BT or AUX-in though. Sometimes there are lines on the screen, but they don’t affect the visibility or touchscreen functions.
FULL DISCLOSURE: The instrument cluster needs to be removed, rebuilt and reinstalled. I got an estimate from my mechanic for about $600, which I’m assuming doesn’t include their labor cost. Many of the issues listed below are related to the instrument cluster failures, and I will list them all to the best of my knowledge, as this vehicle is being sold AS IS.
There is a drain on the battery when shut off. After about a week of driving short distances every other day in the winter, the batter will be drained/dead. In the summer it will last about two weeks to a month. I used to disconnect the battery every day after driving. There is a brand new-ish (about a year old now) Interstate battery currently installed that has never been drained. I installed a remote battery disconnect with a FOB that is currently connected, and works great.
The only keyed entry on this vehicle is the driver’s side door, unfortunately it was drilled out by an unsuccessful thief. It will not unlock by physical key. I have the two original keys and two FOBs. (And two FOBs for the remote battery disconnect)
If I don’t (remotely) disconnect the battery while parked, the alarm will occasionally go off, but never when driving
Speedometer works intermittently, less so in colder weather. It’s fluctuates somewhere between 80-120mph typically
Tachometer is usually pinned at 6 - 7 million RPMs
Oil pressure gauge only works when starting up, then drops back to zero. But, the oil dipstick WORKS!
Battery voltage gauge – WORKS!
Fuel tank level gauge WORKS! (It has never failed me)
Front wipers WORK! Also, they have brand new wiper blades!
Windshield wiper fluid pumps WORKS!
Power mirrors WORK!
Rear window wiper works, most of the time
Driver power seat adjustments WORK!
Cruise control worked last time I tried it
Electronic door locks only work for front two doors and rear trunk/hatch via FOB, or once you’re inside from the front doors switches
Driver side power window works intermittently. If I turn off the car and restart, it usually works again
Sometimes the AC blows hot air (1 out of 10 times). If I turn off the car and restart it two to five times, it usually works again. When it’s working, it is cold cold cold
Heater WORKS!
Front dash blower fan only works on level “4” (“1” out of “5”), and squeaks a little
Climate controls for passenger seats and 3rd row seating blowers & temperature blender WORKS! I have the 3rd row seating and they are included and currently installed
Backlighting for dash temperature blenders are not working, but they are working. I just leave them on full hot or full cold, depending on which of the two seasons it is
The LCD screen for the odometer and sensor alerts WORKS!
Door ajar sensors are occasionally malfunctioning, saying there is a door ajar, but there’s not! I checked.
Tire pressure sensors have been reliable, they WORK!
The PRND D1 D2 gear indicator backlight is near impossible to see, just gotta chunk it into the correct gear by clicks
There’s some light clunking sound coming from within the dash, I think it’s a slide door actuator?
Running lights are out. Might be bulbs, or some electrical problem?
Headlights and hi-beams WORK!
Horn WORKS!
Center-rear brake light does not work, and it’s not the bulb
Brake lights, turn signals and hazard lights WORK! They also work for the towing/trailer electrical hookup
Has a real towing package, not a POS Uhaul strap-on job
Parking brake will not engage. Seems mechanical. Sadly, it does not work
There is a small dent on the rear lower plastic part of the bumper. Does not affect diving performance
There is some light rust below the bottom of both rear passenger doors above the running boards. Sometimes when parked facing up a hill and I open the right rear passenger door, some water drains out of it. Might be a bad gasket?
Some small chips in the windshield, but no cracks
I recentlyish had the alignment done (10/1/2024) by Les Schwab, but it’s still pulling to the right slightly.
One of the fan belts is chirping a little, and probably needs to be replaced
For how old it is, the interior is in VERY GOOD condition, a few light stains, a major one or two in the far back, but upholstery, dash/door plastics and headliner are surprisingly not torn and/or cracked
Original owners manual is included
Has OnStar capability, is this still a thing?
Vehicle is being sold AS IS, U.S. cash dollars only
