My wife uses Quickbooks. I maintain her PC and try to keep things running smoothly.
We have an ongoing issue where Quickbooks stashes a wide variety of bizarrely-named files all over the place. Sometimes these files multiply in the night like rabbits, filling the screen with their ugly little icons for no apparent reason and certainly not at our request. Other times they hide out in invisible places using incomprehensible file names, only to cause complete and utter chaos when, say, DropBox tries to sync our PC with the cloud or I try to back it up to an external HD like we did in the good old days.
We are totally sick of this and need help. I'm looking for someone who understands Quickbooks file architecture, knows how and where the system is supposed to save its various files, knows what we can safely discard and knows how to make Quickbooks. behave like respectable software rather than a deranged, vindictive piece of crap.
Please note that we're NOT looking for accounting help. (My wife is a CPA.) We are looking for computer-specific help, as described above. If you have that expertise, please send your name, phone number and a few sentences about your experience.
Working remotely would work- but better still would be having you here in person to answer our questions- again, like we did in the good old days.
