We are a small school in north Seattle, offering a range of short, fun classes. (Most of our classes meet in the University District, near the UW campus.)

We are looking for someone to teach an "Introduction to WordPress" one day workshop once per quarter. (We had a teacher who was offering a similar class until recently, but has recently moved on to teaching other things; we're looking for someone to take over his WordPress class). The class is aimed at beginners, and would show them how to set up a website in WordPress and help them get started in class in doing so.

Our previous WordPress instructor brought in his laptop to the classroom and hooked it up to a projector, and students worked along on their laptops. (The instructor does not have to provide a projector or screen, they are provided.) (The class would meet in the University District in Seattle.)

Our classes are small, usually around 5 to 10 students, with a minimum of 5. (The class will be canceled if fewer than 5 sign up.) (It sometimes attracts 15 or more students). Pay depends on the number of students (the more students who sign up, the more the instructor receives). The base rate for the instructor is $60 per student. So if there are 5 students, the teacher would receive $300 for the day. If there are ten students, the instructor would receive $600. If there are 15 students, the teacher would receive $900. (The usual workshop runs from 10 am till 3 or 4 pm)

If interested, please reply to this ad, and please include information about your background in using and/or teaching WordPress.
