The ideal Development Manager candidate is passionate about the LCS mission, highly professional, a strong relationship builder with a keen sense of networking, and an excellent public speaker.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for securing significant philanthropic support, with a primary focus on individual donors, prospects and community partners. In partnership with the District Director and Chief Development Officer, you will participate in the creation of a comprehensive strategic fund development plan and carry out implementation of that plan. You’ll cultivate relationships with established partners and donors; solicit donations from new partners and donors; and work collaboratively with the Grants Manager to research, write and submit grant proposals.
The Development Manager reports to the Chief Development Officer and works closely with both the North Puget
Sound District Director and staff and the entire LCS Development Team.
• Mission-driven with a desire to make a difference in North Puget Sound
• 3+ years of generalist fund development experience within a nonprofit or government relations setting
• Data-driven with a strong ability to extract and analyze data, and use data to tell a story
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with donor database/CRM management
• Driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher
• Legislative advocacy experience, particularly in acquiring operational funds is a plus
• Graphic design experience is a plus
