(reduced price for buyer 35 or younger)
Are you a novice? Do you want to single-handle your boat? This Islander Mk II 30' might be just the boat for you. Miramar is 50 years old this year but is not a project boat; she's ready to go. There are the usual squeaks and leaks of any boat her age, but she has been well-maintained and updated and is the perfect boat for someone (like me) who has little boating experience but needs to be able to single-hand her – a good boat to learn on. Miramar is big enough to live aboard (I have done it for months at a time and I am 6'3" tall), but small enough to "muscle around" at the pier in a wind.
Interior is clean with complete kitchen (I love to cook) – propane oven and stove – and newer cushions on main cabin settees. Sleeps 4... hahaha... think 2 with an occasional guest. (Boat retailers always say how many people a boat will "sleep" but sleeping space is not the issue – sitting around or moving around the boat, making meals, sailing the boat, etc., is more of a concern.)
Miramar is a great boat for a single person or a couple – maybe a small child or a pet too.
Reason for sale: living abroad – can't use it as much as I would like.
Documented vessel with the USCG – No. 616321

2025 for insurance renewal – value $23,500 ~ $27,000 (insurance was renewed – no problem)
I have no idea why the Surveyors rate the price so high. In the actual market, what I am asking is about right.
You are welcome to see the surveys.
