Installed 1800 watts of solar on charge controllers, weather station, brand new 7.5" Garmin charter plotter, diesel air heaters at both sides of the boat, a wood stove in the middle - you stay plenty warm in the winter! Also brand new electric heaters in the fore and aft cabins for when you are plugged in. There is an onboard northern lights 7500 kw generator. All the standing rigging was replaced in 2018. It has 14 house batteries, and two brand new starter batteries.
Installed a brand new Lofrans Faulkin windlass with new 300 feet of 7/16 G4 anchor chain and 110lb CQR anchor. 3000watt inverter and charger allows use of 110 outlets, there are 12v LED lights throughout the vessel - all new. New bilge pumps throughout. She has a drop-down dagger board that cranks up and down in the pilot house, draws 5.5 feet up and 9.5 feet down - helps her sail beautifully. Beam is 16.5ft across. 600ft of 3/4" stern tie line on a reel on the back deck. New dock lines and fenders.
There is a completely enclosed pilot house that has wrap around seating. The seats can fold out into two beds. The lexing class is crystal clear and all replaced three years ago. The back and sides can roll up for open air pilot house, or stay zipped shut for it to be fully enclosed. There is a diesel heater installed in the pilot house for warm winter cruising.
There are four cabins(rooms), one is a tool/mechanical room, comes with all the tools, vice, etc. Two of the cabins have bunk beds, their own sinks, closets, drawers, sleeping four total between the two rooms. The captains quarters has a king size bed with beautiful woodwork, a built-in wrap around desk (this is where my wife worked from aboard),a loveseat settee and a full length settee, a lot of storage space, a place for a wood stove to go. 32" flat screen tv.
The master bathroom has a hot tub size soaking tub in it, and a spa lounger, a great working push button to flush toilet, beautiful sink with brass handles, a very roomy bathroom. The bunk rooms are at the other end of the boat in the bow, they have an attached head (toilet) and separate walk-in shower in the bow of the boat, fully enclosed, no standing over a toilet. Has 700 gallon fresh water tank. 700 gallons of diesel - just put $1400 of fresh diesel in. 50gal black water holding tanks.
We upgraded the dinette table to be full size for a family, underneath and behind the cushions is great food storage, huge pull out drawers, it has a 110 freezer but we always used it for a food pantry. We installed a chest freezer that our solar runs great. There is a nice size fridge in the galley, and a propane stove/oven that works great. Wine glass cabinets and wine glass holder. She has a lot of deck room. The aft deck is quite large as well, where the full solar array and a stainless steel rail mounted BBQ. The top of the pilot house has an emergency life raft. All emergency equipment on board, flares, fire extinguishers, CO alarms, fire alarms, propane alarms, high water alarms. Has two depth sounders and an old james bond era radar. New zincs.
For the full price, she comes with a four year old 11.5ft West Marine RIB dinghy and 25 HP Mercury 2-stroke outboard. There are dinghy davits. Newer tween sail with new luff tape this year. Brand new clear vinyl in the pilot house. New deck paint and hull paint this year.
This is our second ferro cement boat we have lived aboard on and we love them. They stay cool in the summer time and warm in the winter. They are quiet inside and cut through the water beautifully. Waves hit the side of the hull and roll back the other way, not sending this vessel tossing back and forth. Bomb and bullet proof. She was made with sailing the world in mind. She has sailed from Mexico to Alaska. We have homeschooled and lived aboard traveling for the last ten years but as our first of four sons is now into his teenager years, seems settling down into a house next to their school is in order.
This vessel is Coast Guard documented and has a COD for the next five years. It's also in an LLC, owned by my wife and I. You would be purchasing the LLC, which owns Mallory Todd.
This vessel used to be a charter boat, the captain, George Todd, sailed trips to Alaska and back. The last forty years it has been on Lake Union, doing charters. The captain, George Todd, also started a charity sailing cancer children's families on the healing seas. He designed the boat, had it built by Fiber Steel in California, and sailed it up to Seattle, WA to spend the next ten years hand building out all the woodwork inside. We are the third owners of Mallory Todd. If you are interested in the history, I can email you a page worth of it.
Overall she is a great sailboat. We've had no issues getting insurance, State Farm has been great to work with and are very affordable.
