length overall (LOA): 50
propulsion type: sail

Ed Monk designed, Cecil Lange and Sons built 50' LOA  double ended cutter. U.S. documented vessel. Built in Everett in 1975, finished and launched in Port Townsend 1976. A proven blue water cruiser with time logged in Mexico, Hawaii, the South Pacific, and Alaska. Stout and sound hull with oak frames and  1 1/2 inch Port Orford cedar strip planking with dynel/epoxy overlay, all in excellent condition. 45' on deck, 13' beam, 7' draft, 40,000lb displacment. Teak deck, sliding hatch forward with ladder to fo'c'sle, large side decks, spacious cockpit with hydraulic steering. Ideal electric windlass with 70lb CQR and a spare 60lb CQR on the ready, with two extra anchors stowed below. 9' Gig Harbor dingy. Lifelines all around with hard pipe stainless railing around cockpit and frame work for canvas cover. Older Avon liferaft. Hard dodger covering  compass, navman station, auto pilot. Stainless steel self-tailing winches, stainless steel standing rigging in good shape. Running rigging in good working order, boat sails beautifully. Large sail inventory some older but still in good shape and crisp. Genoa on a roller furler, with a spare genoa in stowage along with a jib, a storm jib, staysail, and a trysail, mainsail is crisp but needs new cover. Below decks is roomy with over 6' of head room. Engine room is even spacious with room to stand and move about freely. Work bench with tool and parts storage. Fuel tank all the way aft. 3TE 40 hp Yanmar in good running order, 3 blade bronze prop on currently with a spare 2 blade onboard. Forward of engine room is nav station to starboard with chart drawers, radar, vhf, SSB. To port is a quarter berth/day bunk. Galley with ice box(used to have engine driven cold plate, compressor has been removed) 4 burner propane range/oven, sink, cabinets. Large dinette with room for guests, breaks down to a full berth too. 260 gallons fresh water in 3 tanks below sole in galley. Midship is full berth to starboard with plenty of drawers and lockers above and below. Head(needs rebuilt or replacement) with sink and separate shower. Fo'c'sle has hanging locker, sail storage and another quarter berth. Large chain locker with ample ground tackle. The interior was well planned and finely crafted with teak and mahogany. The bad: as said the head needs rebuilding or replacement, along with a holding tank installed, boat never had one as it was built to be off shore anyway. A rewire was started but not completed, new Blue Sea panel ready for install. Cabin lights are wired up along with the bilge pump, which hasn't pumped as long as I've had the boat. With very little elbow grease this boat would make an excellent liveaboard or world cruiser. Boat is located in Port Ludlow Wa. Please no rudder kickers, pretty firm on price. Feel free to email for more details or questions. Thanks
