Makes a prized acquisition, or a unique gift for the bar for that special occasion.
The Lismore Wine Decanter from Waterford Crystal features one of the most recognizable patterns in the Waterford archive, the classic Lismore pattern of intricate diamond and wedge cuts rendered in radiant crystal. It's a stunning combination of brilliance and clarity.
Sleek and elegant, measuring 13.5" high (including the stopper) and 4.25" diameter, the intricate detailing of Lismore’s classic signature pattern of diamond and wedge cuts dramatically accentuates the color and accent of the carafe's contents, while the stopper keeps the contents airtight. Waterford's handcrafted, fine Irish crystal guarantees a comforting weight and reassuring stability. The large, distinctive wine stopper is eye-catching and unique. Stunning on a dining or side table.
Hand craftsmanship, precision skill and artistic excellence remain the core components that transform the finest of raw materials into the world's premium luxury crystal.
Waterford Crystal has been handcrafting the finest quality crystal since 1783 when George and his nephew William Penrose started their business, the Waterford Glassworks. It produced extremely fine flint glass that became world-renowned.
Miroslav Havel, Waterford’s Chief of Design, who drew inspiration for the pattern’s signature diamond and wedge cuts, created the famous Lismore pattern in 1952 from the rugged charm of Lismore Castle in the idyllic countryside of County Waterford. Having originally embellished a simple water goblet, the Lismore pattern is now intricately adorned on a beautiful selection of luxury crystal glassware, decanters, barware, home ware, tumblers, wine glasses, vases, bowls, and picture frames.
HAND WASH:
Combine quarter cup ammonia with a mild lemon detergent. Rinse in clean water and air dry on a rack. Clean vases and decanters by filling them half-full with moderately hot water, a small amount of mild detergent, two tablespoons of white vinegar or ammonia and 1/2 cup uncooked rice. Swirl the rice around for a few minutes to remove residue.
