Carl Chew is a Seattle artist who has been active here for a long time. His work can be found in various collections including the Henry Art Gallery and the Seattle Art Museum. A google search under Carl Chew or C.T. Chew will bring up examples of his work. He is a very unique artist. One aspect of his work is the "Triangle Post" which consists of his own rather amusing stamps, usually in perforated sheets. A search will also bring up his website. He refers to himself as the "World's Most Famous Unknown Artist."
The dimensions of the frame are 34 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches. Each of the sheets is 8 1/2 x 11 inches.
I decided to sell this three piece work. It is nicely framed and actually consists of three separate artworks, each hand signed by Chew. They are all dated 1981. Please take a look at my photos. His work is very hard to find and that makes it difficult to figure out a fair price. Davidson Galleries has one of his original works for sale, not including posters. My price is $150.
I have several other artworks by C.T. Chew which I may possibly sell at a later date. Right now, I have many other artworks for sale on craigslist. Please see other items through the "more ads..." link.
Any item that I am selling can be returned to me within one week or so if it doesn't work out for any reason. It might not fit in the space you had in mind or it might not go well with other artwork. Whatever the reason, I'll return the amount paid as long as there is no damage (e.g., broken glass). Please handle the item with care.
I am located on Capitol Hill near Volunteer Park. Parking is usually easy on my street. Please contact me by email through craigslist if interested.
