Auto Technician car diagnostics electrical problems and electronics (Puget Sound area along I-5 and 405 eastside)

1234
Automotive technician offers services in tracing, finding and solving problems with the 12V electrical circuits and electronics in passenger cars, SUVs and light trucks/pickups.
* Warning lights and warning messages in the instrument cluster.
** Exterior lighting, door locks, power windows, sunroof, electrical seats, electronic suspension etc.
*** Diagnostics for vehicle electronics such as modules and computers and data BUS communications.
**** ECUs, sensors, air bags, instrument panel/cluster, immobilizer, passenger seat occupancy just to name a few.
***** Electrical problems such as shorts and blown fuses, battery drain, incorrect or bad wiring, fuel gauge, electric fans always on, and common engine no start.
I run diagnostics on all vehicles and scan every computer in the car for faults associated with the warning lights : Check Engine, airbag light (SRS), ABS (anti-brake), VSA, Traction and Stability Control, Air Suspension, Security/immobilizer, electronic AWD and 4x4, Transmission Service, TPMS (tire pressure), maintenance reminders and many others.
Common tasks performed during the diagnostic include the calibration of steering angle sensor, passenger seat occupancy, idle control learning, AdBlue counter, air filter and DPF resets in CDI and TDI diesels, brake pad sensor reset in BMW and coding of various computers.
Occasionally depending on year and make of vehicle I can program keys and remotes.
I do NOT do mechanical work or scheduled maintenance on any car unless the issue is of electrical nature, due to faulty electronics or bad wiring.
I charge a flat rate of $40/hour for labor with a minimum charge of 1 hour. To run a basic scan with my diagnostic computer and pull DTC codes the fee is $40. Same applies for airbag reset. A successful airbag reset is only possible if the airbag system in the customer's car is intact and functioning properly and there are no missing or deployed airbags. If at least one component is faulty the air bag system cannot be reset. No shortcuts!
An additional $20-$40 trip fee will be charged whenever I have to drive to the location and do the work at the customer's place. The fee is waived if the job is 5+ hours or the customer brings the car to Des Moines.
I service the entire Puget Sound area along the I-5 and 405 corridor between Des Moines and Lynnwood but depending on circumstances I can travel farther north.
* I no longer provide mobile services south of Federal Way and Auburn since it's far off my route. Customers living south in Tacoma, Fife, Puyallup and vicinity need to bring their cars in for diagnostics.

_____My phone # is 2.0.6 - five.69- five.5.2.5.
______Ask for Andrew.
If I am busy and can't answer right away please DO leave a message. I always call back in a timely manner.
* NO TEXTING! Texts will be deleted immediately, and unless it's from an active or past customer there will be no response.
It's very important to remember that calling for no reason and not following with an appointment will result in future calls being rejected. Next time these personas will take their car to the "friendly" local mechanic or dealer for a bend-over procedure. There won't be second chances.
  • do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
