Bookkeeper with experience needed (Yelm WA)

compensation: 17.00 per hour
employment type: full-time

Looking for an experienced full-time Bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance department. Past experience in bookkeeping or accounting is a "must" for this position. Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and dependability are all important qualifications. The candidate for this position must be a skilled multi-tasker, have good phone skills, and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.  This is a fast paced office position. No accounting or bookkeeping businesses should respond or apply for this position.

Job duties could include the following:

Balance and maintain accurate ledgers by verifying and posting transactions
Reconcile data entry
Match purchase orders with invoices
Accurate filing
Corresponding with customers via email, phone, or in person
Coordinate and work closely with other staff
The following is a list of experience needed:

Experience in accounting or bookkeeping
Experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger
Experience in generally accepted accounting principles,
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation,
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks
Strong understanding of business and computations

You must have the following minimum requirements: 

Job history must include a minimum of one year of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Be 18 years or older
Have a high school diploma or GED
Be able to pass a background check
lift and/or move 50 pounds safely
