PART-TIME CONTROLLER / CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTANT

Element PCC is a growing commercial painting and specialty coatings contractor serving the Seattle metro area. We are seeking an experienced Controller, Construction Accountant, or Accounting Manager to join our team on a part-time basis and help build the financial infrastructure needed for our next phase of growth.
This is not a bookkeeping position. We have an excellent CPA. We are looking for an experienced financial professional who can work alongside ownership and operations to improve reporting, forecasting, job costing, and overall financial visibility.
Responsibilities:
• Monthly financial close and reporting
• Work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
• Retention tracking and reconciliation
• Job cost review and profitability analysis
• Cash flow forecasting
• Accounts receivable review
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Budgeting support
• Financial process improvement
• Support owner, COO, office manager, and CPA
Preferred Qualifications:
• 10+ years accounting experience
• Construction industry accounting experience preferred
• Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant background
• Strong understanding of job costing
• Experience with WIP schedules and retention
• QuickBooks experience required
• Ability to work independently and make recommendations
Position Details:
• Part-time (8–20 hours per week)
