We are a rapidly growing Marketing/Communications/Advertising agency located in Olympia and we need a part-time writer with a background in content development, business writing, and advertising copy.

The candidate must be able to drive to businesses located throughout Thurston County for in-person interviews, so if you live outside of Thurston or Mason, this may not be a good fit for you.

Key Responsibilities
Write articles, blog posts, and other editorial content
Plan, update and maintain content for the site's landing pages, marketing materials, promotional emails, social networking sites, press releases, etc.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to develop content that supports strategic priorities
Deliver measurable results through the use of SEO principles, analytics, creative expertise and understanding of the digital environment

Required Knowledge
Excellent writing and storytelling skills
Willing to learn best practices regarding SEO and keyword placement
Ability to develop ideas and messages around business and marketing objectives
Would be nice for candidate to have some photography and Photoshop skills, but not required.

Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid grasp of AP Stylebook guidelines in terms of grammar usage, spelling, punctuation, etc.
Attention to detail and ability to proof digital content
Ability to work unsupervised, as well as in cross-functional teams

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, marketing, creative writing, journalism, or communications
Fluency in social media marketing applications

We pay $20 per hour as a part-time employee, working 10-15 hours a week to begin, though we expect this to grow.
NOTE: This position may be a good fit for a contract writer, but you must have a UBI number and fit Washington State Department of L&Is definition of an independent contractor.
