This position supports the science curriculum through the comprehensive management of the Science Support Center (SSC). The SCC operates as a resource hub for the undergraduate laboratory curriculum and faculty research programs, providing access to shared laboratory equipment; supplies purchasing/receiving, equipment and chemical inventory management, and serves as a first point of contact for resource or service support for faculty, staff, and students. Through high-level decision-making, strong organizational skills, and professional judgment, this position is responsible for ensuring SSC operations effectively meet the equipment needs shared across many scientific disciplines and curricular programs.
This is a half-time (20 hour per week), overtime eligible position on the Olympia campus of The Evergreen State College.
Salary and Benefits: $2,171.00 – $2,918.50 per month of half-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life and disability insurance package for employees and dependents; retirement; optional deferred compensation and optional supplemental retirement accounts.
