Seriously underrated zoom lens, ideal not only for photography but also videography. Tokina bought the design for this lens from Angenieux in the 90s, a company made famous for their designs of zoom lens that still dominate film and television work to this day.
The lens is also nearly parfocal! I say nearly because if you zoom from 28-70 you do lose maybe a tiny bit of focus, but smaller zooms maintain focus when pushing in or out. Hard to find in a stills lens.
