I've recently been looking into taking in a parrot who needs a home. I have a LOT of free time to spend with the parrot and I'm looking for a bird I intend to spend most of my life with. I'm looking for a medium sized species of parrot to take in, as I am less familiar with large species of parrots such as scarlet macaws or anything similar to that size.
I am interested in adopting - Eclectus parrots, Medium sized cockatoos (Goffin, Galah, Bare-eyed, etc.), Mini macaws, and other bird species similar in size.
I'm less interested in adopting (due to experience gap) - True macaws, Large cockatoos (Umbrella [even though theyre one of my most favorite and beloved cockatoo species], Moluccan, Sulphur-crested)
I am NOT looking to buy a parrot from a breeder so please keep rehoming fees reasonable, I am looking to adopt a parrot who is in need of a new home or in the process of being rehomed.
