Professional Married Couple Looking For Dog Friendly Housing (Shelton to Chehalis)

Hello there,
Thanks for taking the time to read this! It's definitely long, but we've found previous rentals from posts just like this.
My name is Autumn and my husband, Timothy, and I are looking for a new home anywhere from Shelton to Chehalis, with preference on more rural housing. Our landlord is retiring and will be taking up residence on the property we currently reside mid 2026 so we are looking around to see what we can find. We are putting out feelers early in hopes of finding the perfect situation.
Tim works remotely and I work at a dog grooming salon in Lacey. Both of us are full time professionals with over 5 years experience in our respective fields. We don't have the best credit, but have verifiable income and several positive rental references.
We are mostly homebodies but do enjoy getting out for trail walks, hikes and camping with our dogs as often as we can. In my free time I like to train dogs, read and take photos. Tim enjoys playing games of all types and writing.
Housing that will allow at least 3 dogs is extremely important. We currently have 3 adult dogs, Skittles, Rand, and Xayah, all Australian Shepherds. I occasionally foster dogs and watch friends dogs for vacations or the weekend. I dabble in dog training and behavior as a hobby and I've worked with dogs for about a decade, professionally. My dogs are vetted, well behaved, non-destructive and quiet. All dogs are crated when left unsupervised.
Now for what we are looking for in a place...
$2,000/month max if some utilities are included
2 bedrooms preferred
Washer dryer in unit
First floor / no stairs
High speed Internet access
At this time we are only looking for single family houses. No duplexes, townhomes, etc.

Because of our credit situation, we really can only work with privately owned vs corporate housing, as we most likely will be blanket denied with the latter and be out our application fees.
