Edible wetland plant that can be grown in moist soil or submerged under water in anything from a big fancy clay pot to a plastic tub. Spreads and develops multiple tubers and shoots once established. Fried, boiled or roasted, the tubers have a mild, nutty flavor similar to water chestnuts with a starchy, potato-like texture.
You will have pleny of tubers to eat and shoots to share. Only three plants available. 12 - 16" tall in 6 inch pots. $10 each.
