Almost new, excellent condition, complete with a E61 portafilter, distribution, tamper puck and all items pictured
Videos online showing use. Very few of these were made on Portland OR and most went to small coffee shops. These were originally around $700.00 and took months to get. They are very heavy and delightfully overbuilt.
Traditional cold brew methods retain heat-sensitive compounds but lose those that are time-sensitive. Hot brewing keeps the latter but destroys the former. Using a novel, patent-pending process, the Osma Pro retains the widest possible range of flavors and aromas. It constantly recirculates water from the cup through the coffee in the portafilter, while pressure from the coffee blooming helps extract the most from the grounds. The result is up to 12oz of cold, espresso-like coffee in just two minutes.
The Osma Pro’s novel patent-pending process uses harmonics and recirculation technology to cold-extract the widest possible range of flavors, compounds and aromas. Basically, you grind your coffee beans as you would for an espresso, load the grounds into the portafilter, fill a tumbler with ice and 8 oz water, place it on the Osma and press start. The machine then works its magic by recirculating water from the tumbler through the coffee in the filter. Pressure extracts all the good stuff from the grounds.
"It’s rare that a truly new way to make coffee is invented, and nearly all of them have one thing in common: heat. After all, it’s hot water that quickly extracts flavor and body from grounds. But Osma, a new device using an entirely novel coffee-making technique, makes a rich, strong espresso-like drink at any temperature, including icy cold — and it might be the next big thing in the industry" Engadget, Best Kitchen Tech, read the review here: https://www.engadget.com/osma-pro-cold-brew-coffee-machine-review-131552500.html
