Solid top, laminated sides, 3/4 bass from Europe. Recent professional set-up includes a Realist pickup, shaping the fingerboard and a new bridge. “Made in Germany” label that probably means East Germany during the 1960’s. This bass rojects well. Includes a functional but unexceptional bow. Well-padded (and well-worn) case has little wheels on the bottom so the bass will tag along easily behind you. This is a solid and very serviceable instrument. Its previous life in the Los Angeles schools' music program shows how reliable it is.
