I have spoken with the men that designed these early guitars and some leading experts on Washburn N4 guitars. They all agree, this is a one of kind/prototype Nuno Washburn. This instrument features the only 24 fret handmade USA Stephen’s Extended Cutaway neck on the planet. It has many other features that are completely unique to any other Nuno guitar (5 way/Fender style pickups selector, a tone control, Washburn pickups and tuners, a different shape reverse headstock. This guitar was built at the Gakki factory, by Washburn master builder Hatori-San. This 24 fret neck w/ pencil markings “EC-22” cements the fact that this is a concept design, prototype instrument. The Japanese stamp in the neck pocket is Hatori’s name. The “WB” stamp proves that this was an official factory commissioned build. This guitar plays like butter.
