Here it is: your holy grail ac30 tweed hybrid, handcrafted by one of the world's very finest amp designers, using the finest vintage and custom made components. For your consideration, a 1998 Bruno Underground 30, with Tony's fantastic 3 knob reverb, premium vintage tubes, in a fabulous custom tuned pine 212 cab, loaded with Celestion alnicos.
This amp was the winner of the Guitar Player ultimate 23 boutique amp shootout in 97. It's got a silkiness and bounce to its response that is completely unique to Tony's amps. It's bright, but never harsh. Thick, but never farty. Retains the chime of and edge of breakup of an ac30, but much fatter broadband compression, like a tweed, when cranked. Harmonic overtone content is unreal - Dumble like violin sustain. Pushing the tone controls scoop the mids to almost blackface sparkle. Best tube reverb ever designed for guitar built right into the amp, with mix, tone, and dwell control. Virtually impossible to get a bad tone out of.
If you're familiar with this amp, my words are pointless. If you're not familiar, you probably gotta try one.
No trade considerations other than Jim Kelley amps, Fender/Gibson custom shop guitars.
