The exterior has been planed and is very smooth. The interior is rough cedar. I have custom carved a Horse Head logo on the front of this box.
These are made locally here in Poulsbo, Wa.
Size is roughly 14"x26"x9"deep. They are 16 1/2" tall.
Western Red Cedar is a rot resistant, bug resistant wood. I apply a couple coats of satin clear Rust-oleum to the box when finished for added protection. They have drain holes in the bottom for proper drainage.
