Job Summary

The Quality Control Field Supervisor will assist the Quality Manager in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of plants by testing and analyzing da and resolving any issues the project sites.

Compension

Annual Salary $60,000 to $70,000 DOE

Responsibilities

• Work with the plant operor on plant operions and efficiency
• Inspect Bch Plant, aggrege stockpiles, and mix designs the assigned plant
• Ability to adjust loads with concrete admixtures
• Sample aggreges and perform applicable Portland cement concrete tests (in accordance with the most current ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards)
• Testing to include: moisture content, temperure, slump, density, air content, cylinders, etc.
• Troubleshoot and address merial/quality issues (low breaks, Schmidt hammer, cracking, coring, etc.)
• Coordine work with internal personnel, i.e. sales, operions, customer service, and dispch
• Prepare job incident reports
• Analyze aggrege and strength reports
• Work directly with customers
• Attend pre-job meetings
• Work with plant operors, co-workers, and drivers

Educion

• High school diploma/GED
• ATTI and ACI certificion preferred

Requirements/Qualificions

• Obtain and maintain ACI Field Grade Certificion within six (6) months in the position
• Job requires the following motions: climbing, bending, squting, lifting, sitting, stretching, vibrion, twisting, pushing/pulling of controls, and riding on rough terrain, use of hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers, driving/walking on uneven ground, and climbing stairs
• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds, occasional lifting of 100 pounds
• May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weher and be able to work in wet environments
• Must be able to work flexible hours with varying start and stop times
• Overtime work will be required as needed by the company
• Must meet OSHA 10 guidelines and be able to follow all CalPortland Safety Policies
• ANSI-approved PPE will be provided and must be used when required
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
• Able to work cooperively with others
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
• Technician subject to random drug and alcohol screens as required by the company
• May be required to perform Lab Technician duties based on business need

Conditions of Employment

Successful candide must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examinion, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrion (FMCSA) registrion/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
