UFCW 3000’s (formerly UFCW 21) new training and education organization, WeTrain Washington, is now offering union and community members the opportunity to begin a meat cutting career that will provide:

-Paid vacation time and sick leave
-A consistent work schedule
-Health and pension benefits
-and much more!

Just Five Weeks to Get Started!

You’ll start your new career by participating in the Meatcutters Pre-apprenticeship Program. This mostly-virtual program only takes a few hours per week for five weeks. Participants earn a stipend upon completion.

Once you complete the pre-apprenticeship program, you’ll be on your way to getting a new job earning higher wages and getting trained through the Seattle Puget Sound Meatcutters Apprenticeship Program.

We’re looking for hard working, motivated participants. The attached flyer has specific information about getting started on this journey.

Steps to Apply:

1. Sign up to attend a brief, online information session on May 24th or June 8th. Registration is accessible through our website.

2. After the info session, you can apply to the Meatcutters Pre-Apprenticeship program.
