It will be hard to find another boat more prepared for the blue water than SV Makyta (at this price point). This Pongracic custom 44' is ready for open seas at 30,000 lbs, 6 1/2 foot draft and upgraded barn door rudder.
After a haul out and survey in 2014 the previous owner put tens of thousands of dollars into a refit. (See receipts photo) Surveyed again in 2021, everything had been addressed. He loved to work on Makyta but rarely sailed her.
The Hull:
Cold pressed cedar with fiberglass laminate. This method, popular in the 70's, has proven to stand the test of time. Many documented long passages show zero issues with the sound hull construction method.
The Sails:
Like new, crispy, unused. Spare Spinnaker and more in the forward locker.
The Rigging: Clean, shiny, thick, easy access to chain plates. Overbuilt for its size.
The Decks: Teak looks great, well maintained. Boat comes with a supply of teak oil for additional coats.
Down Below: You can tell this boat was owned by a talented carpenter. Full mahogany interior is absolutely beautiful.

Wiring: New, clean, organized beautiful, with recent battery banks.

The motor: Just serviced,
Marinized Kubota 3-Cylinder 27 hp. Plenty of power to hum along at 5 1/2 knots while sipping fuel from 50 gallons of tankage, providing up to 120 hrs of continual running time. Repowered in 1989 this engine is still very reliable, with only 2200 hrs.
