I bought this converted wood range on Craigslist about 10 years ago to be the kitchen's center piece of the cabin we were redoing. Unfortunately after 7 years of work completing the cabin I was tired so I decided to go with a conventional electric range. I paid $1800 for it back then and it did work but I didn't test it enough to know how well calibrated the temperature controls were. I know that converted wood ranges like this by the retail restorers sell for $8000 plus. If I were to keep and use this range I would install new wiring and then test the heating elements and controls and test with 220V. I know new electric components are available on line. Having an electrician friend like I do would be nice. It really would have looked phenomenal in the cabin and fulfilled my fond childhood memories.
This stove will only be available until about January 27 and then I have an acceptable option for relocating it from my garage. Please only reply if you have a serious interest at this price.
POST SCRIPT- Well January 27 has come and gone but this Stove remains. I have just now reduced the price from $800 to $400 which will be my only and last reduction. Either this stove is discovered in the unique circumstance that someone decides they have a need or interest in having such a stove be the center piece of their kitchen's decor. If that someone doesn't appear within a a couple of months then this stove will find it's way to one of those habitat outfits and someone can discover it there.
