This is not a toy, it used to be a college student microscope. Therefore it is perfect for a kid who is really into science. It is built like a tank, mostly of metal. The controls operate very smoothly and nicely. It also has "milti-phase attachment" which extends its capability with advanced features such as Dark Field and Phase Contrast microscopy. It has 4 objectives. Microscope appears in good working order, the optics is clear and the light works. There are a couple paint scratches on the body, pretty minor. Selling as-is, exactly as pictured. Power cord is included. Pick up in Kirkland, cash only.
