Employment Specialist, Direct Service Position Supporting People with Disabilities
Join our team at Work Opportunities! As an Employment Specialist you will have the opportunity to be creative, take initiative, and work collaboratively with an amazing team! This position requires networking, marketing, and professionalism that can be adapted to various company cultures, while supporting individuals in their jobs. Every day is different and every person is unique, so variety is a part of the job. This position is integral to helping people with disabilities find employment, learn the tasks of their job, maintain their employment, and support the employee and the employer to develop a mutually respectful relationship.
We have both part-time and full-time positons available; also every day of the week, daytime and evening shifts.
Work Opportunities is a private non-profit organization that supports people who have disabilities with their vocational needs. We have teams who work in King, Snohomish and Whatcom Counties. We are building a team of employees that is diverse and enthusiastic about supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to access their communities through vocational experiences. Compensation: Salary is competitive and depends on qualifications and experience. Entry-level pay range starts at $14.50 DOE, with annual pay increases based on individual and organizational performance. Full time benefits include: medical, dental and vision, paid time off, paid holidays, long term disability and life insurance, 403B retirement plan, and monthly mileage and cell phone reimbursement.
Required Qualifications: The ability and desire to work with people of all abilities, high school diploma, proficiency in MS office applications, valid Washington State Driver's License and proof of vehicle liability insurance, good driving record-must be insurable by carriers, ability to complete background investigation, and current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of the onset of employment. Due to driving requirements must be at least 21 years old.
Desirable Qualifications: One year experience working with individuals with disabilities within employment settings or another comparable field, bachelor's degree.
