Very nice sounding A-style all solid wood mandolin, maple neck with nice maple binding, the back/sides are also maple and the top is spruce. I had the frets crowned/leveled so the frets are very smooth, nice low action, sweet tone somewhere between a standard f-hole and an oval hole. Excellent neck angle, lots of adjustment left in the bridge thumb wheels (see photo). I found a case for it and added padding to keep it from flopping around.
I have owned several Kentucky mandolins, and an Eastman, and this is as nice sounding as any of them, and the action is better - easier to play than any of the others were.
I realize most folks will prefer a brand name instead of using their ears to decide, but for the more discerning, this one is a pleasant surprise - much nicer than many in this price range. It really is a sweet sounding and playing mandolin I'm selling because I'm focused on guitar these days. If this were a known maker it would easily be over $1000, asking $500 with case.
