Vehicle Monitor Corporation, based in Redmond, Washington, designs and builds factory automation systems for heavy equipment and truck manufacturers. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a detail oriented, mechanically inclined Electromechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This is a full time, 40 hour per week, in office, permanent position.
Position Overview
This hands-on manufacturing role involves electromechanical assembly, panel wiring, mechanical fabrication, and system integration. You will work closely with engineers and production staff to build, test, and install custom vehicle testing systems. Every day brings new challenges—assembling automation equipment, interpreting engineering drawings, wiring control panels, and performing precision mechanical work.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble electromechanical systems, wiring harnesses, control panels, and mechanical subassemblies.
• Work directly with engineers and production staff to build custom factory automation equipment.
• Perform fabrication tasks including drilling, cutting, tapping, and precision measurement.
• Use shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, grinders, hole saws, and standard hand tools.
• Follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately.
• Work independently while communicating effectively with team members.
• Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and installation of vehicle testing systems.
Qualifications
• Mechanically inclined with proficiency using tools and machinery (drill press, band saw, grinder, hole saw, hand tools).
• Ability and willingness to follow verbal and written procedures.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail
• Willingness to work across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronics projects.
Desirable Skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Good computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Familiarity with drilling, cutting, fabrication, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, electrical schematics, and wire lists.
