Riding weather is finally here! I purchased and shipped this stunning bike two years ago from someone who refurbishes old BMW boxers in Colorado. It was meticulously gone thru and is in excellent condition. Sadly, I've only had time to put about about 1000 miles on it. And to answer your question, yes, I am ashamed. Here is a list of things that was done prior to me purchasing.

Front forks rebuilt – removed sliders, cleaned, installed new gaskets, fork selas and filled to proper lever w/ 7.5 weight fork oil.
Steering head bearing inspected and greased.
Steering damper removed, inspected, cleaned and greased.
Front caliper and master cylinder rebuilt. Stainless brake hose install and brakes bled.
New pads installed.
S Style handle bars installed.
Speedo tach removed, cleaned, all bulbs checked. Installed new speedo and tach cables.
Fuel tank flushed and petcocks rebuilt.
Engine – Top end resealed. Base gasket, head gasket, pushrod tube seals. Pistons removed and replaced with bet set within specs. Front seals inspected and replaced. New points and condenser.
Exhaust system removed, headers cleaned and polished, muffle replaced with nice used set.
Starter removed, tested and cleaned.
Carburetors rebuilt with all new gaskets including butterfly shaft O ring.
Transmission removed, inspected, input seal replaced, new clutch disc installed after cleaning and inspection of components. Splines lubed before reinstalled.
Air filter replaced. All fluids replaced: Engine, trans, rearend and forks.
Engine thoroughly cleaned and painted with Dupicolor high temp diecast aluminum.
Swing arm removed, cleaned, bearings checked and painted.
Rear shocks removed, taken apart, checker rebound of cartridges, cleaned and shrouds polished.
Wheel rims polished, bearing checked and greased.
New tires installed.
Electrical system checked to confirm everything operates as it should.
New café style seat installed.

I've recently installed a battery tender, a new helmet lock, new spark plugs and changed the oil. I also registered it as a Collectors Vehicle, so you'll never have to pay for tabs again. And if you're like me, and find it nearly impossible to remember your license plate number, I GOT YOU! If you're looking for a showpiece, a simple paint job will get you there. I personally like the patina on the original paint job. Since I've owned it, it's always been stored in the garage with a battery tender. And yes, I am a fair weather rider!

As I'm sure you already know, these bikes are getting harder and harder to find. I had to go to Colorado to find one in this condition. This one runs like a dream and gets all kinds of attention.

Not interested in trades or any help selling. Thx. If the ad is up, it is still available.
