Wood is sold by the board foot which is 12x12x1 divided by 144 equals total bf. So a 24x36x3 inch thick slab is 18 bf. The lowest price per bf cost is $12 for cedar.

Kiln dried , don't buy wet wood and have it twist and crack on you after its home. Air drying isn't dry enough in our climate, it needs to be kiln dried.
