This Backsaver zero gravity lounge chair has a contemporary Danish Modern design with a bentwood frame, maroon leather upholstery and padded armrests. It was gently used and stored for a long time and is in like new condition (a few tiny scuffs are the only sign of wear). The zero gravity reclining position was originally designed by NASA engineers to alleviate back strain, and is so comfortable that people even sleep in the recliner after hip or back surgery. The chair is extremely sturdy and users weighing up to 300 lbs find it comfortable.
This Backsaver model lets you sit upright or set it at any angle you choose by using the easy-adjust lever conveniently located just below the right arm of the chair. Backsaver chairs were originally sold at Relax the Back stores, and used ones are increasingly harder to find.. Comparable quality and style zero gravity recliners currently retail for $1500 and more.
Note that; the color varies in the photos depending on the angle of the photo. The color is slightly darker than the reclined photos but not quite as dark a maroon as shown in the upright shots.
Upright dimensions -- 28 in W, 52 in L, 46 in H
