This rebuilt windmill blade is from a local artist who sourced it from an old farm in N. Dakota. It had partially fallen apart, so the artist rebuilt the blades and it's now it as an awesome wall hanging. It could be used in other ways as well. It's made of galvanized iron, over- painted in metalic brown and copper tones, using a faux-metal paint material that added a great deal of depth and color.
Approximate dimensions: 16 inches deep x 53 inches wide x 55 inches long. The blades are welded onto a strong metal structure. Weight is approximately 25 pounds. I mounted it onto a wall using a bolt counter sunk into a wall stud.
Very attractive, unique and eye-catching piece, suited for several different decorating styles. Purchased for just under $1,000 - and should sell since I have no place now for it.
Discounted now to $225. If you actually come see it, you'll want it. Eastside/Factoria/Somerset neighborhood area.
