I used this truck for my construction comapny but have changed occupacians and no longere have any need for it. There is work that needs to be done. Below will be the detailed diagnostic report for your review. Its runs and is the LGH engine. No trades
- 1ST LEVEL OF DIAG:
"Diagnosed wandering and cruise inop. Found all steering wheel controls work at this time. Found when scanning PCM there is a P0571 Brake switch code. Found brake switch shows applied at all times. The PCM thinks the brakes are on at all times and disables the cruise. Recommend brake switch at this time. Test drove and found truck doesn't wander at this time. It does pull hard to the right like the alignment is off. It has a new pitman arm in it. Front brakes look to be 5% but even. Most likely needs an alignment to start with. Tire pressures are all OK at this time. Now for the rest of the truck... There is a massive exhaust leak or boost leak. There were 13 codes in the PCM at the time of test driving. Clearing them had 6 return on test drive. There are 14 codes in the PTO system like it is not there anymore but the PCM is looking for it for some reason. The truck is deleted, 2 of the codes are from Wait to start light and CEL light circuits faults. Both these lights do not come on or prove out. There will most likely need to be a good amount of diag time into these issues."
- SECOND LAYER OF DIAGNOSTIC TESTING:
"Began diag with smoke tester. Found turbo and boost leak issue is the turbo. The exhaust housing is separated at clamp like the turbo was removed and cleaned and then installed but not correctly put back together. Will need to pull turbo and most likely replace it due to the housing being separated and it run separated, it is not recommended we just close and re-install as it has likely been contaminated/compromised.
Began electrical diag on other systems. Found both codes P0381 and P0650 have a TSB about transient voltage causing issues with the SDM. This TSB deals with aftermarket accessories being installed and back feeding voltage to components. Currently The vehicle has no communication with the BCM, ICM, Airbag, and others. Disconnected all aftermarket accessories we could find and retested for communication. Still no communication on MS CAN network. Disconnected splice pack and jumperd the wires one at a time. With direct connection to DLC all modules had communication except the SDM also known as the Airbag module. According to pinpoint test the Airbag module or SDM need to be replaced and has to be programmed at time of replacement. The dealer will have to do this."
