Unfortunately, I couldn't save the original tires so it has some fresh low miles hybrid tires, so there's a little tooth for the corners. The Shimano SIS (indexed)18 speed drivetrain functions perfectly of course, and the completely unbranded canti breaks, that are super Wicked in my opinion, stop on a dime and still need to be broken in.
There is no doubt this is a lower and bike from that era, I believe produced by a hardware store chain. But it's got a steel and chromoly Taiwanese frame, and 1st gen Shimano SIS shifting that has only been through the gears a few times..so still a step up from 50% of bikes built today!
A really fun little ride, come take a spin in Lower Queen Anne, not going to see too many of these!
