Angry Lapdog Productions is a very early-stage startup, aiming to be the next Google, but with a better name.
We are developing a product that will provide a new experience to Web surfers and advertisers, and that will do so everywhere on the web.

Your mission, as our third team member and first UX designer, will be to make that experience seamless, intuitive, and fun.

What you’ll be doing
> Collaborate with the CEO and CTO to define what users can do with our product.
> Weave a narrative- verbal, visual, or both- of how users interact with the product.
> Imagine yourself in our users’ shoes. Hone your vision until the experience they will have is amazing.
> Specify the experience in a form that engineers can implement- wireframes, site maps, whatever works.
> Answer engineers’ questions as they translate your specifications into a live site.
> Once live, observe how users react- and figure out what to do to make their experience even better.

What you’ll need

>Experience with Websites
>> Turning functional requirements into verbal or visual usage stories
>> Prototyping and testing interactions
>> Delivering implementable specifications
>> Ensuring specifications meet usability heuristics
>> Gathering and interpreting data on how users are reacting to designs

>Attitude
>> The passion to make Web interactions intuitive and fun
>> The imagination to envision multiple Web interactions that satisfy functional requirements
>> The yearning to find out just which of your ideas gets the best user response
>> The discipline to take your ideas and mold them into detailed, high-quality product specifications
>> Above all: The drive to get things done.

> Other
>> Willingness to work with us in Seattle
>> A portfolio that demonstrates your experience

The work will be hard. The challenge will push your skills to the limit. We may make a lot of money… but we may crash and burn.

Join Angry Lapdog Productions. Change the world’s Web experience.

Interactive Coordinator/Associate Producer (Downtown)

Hornall Anderson (http://www.hornallanderson.com) is looking for an energetic, organized, dynamic Interactive Coordinator/Associate Producer to assist with all aspects of supporting our interactive team. Our interactive team combines technology with great design to create interactive experiences that enhance the value of our client’s brands.

The Interactive Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks including (but not limited to):
•	Researching new interactive trends and technologies and sharing those findings with the team.
•	Coordinating activities of the interactive team including meetings and requests from other teams.
•	Writing and fulfilling proposal requests, new business research, and assisting with other new business activities.

The type of person we’re looking for could best be described as a master plate spinner with a geeky passion for technology. In addition to being up to speed on the latest and greatest trends in interactive technology you’ll also understand how interactive experiences can be used to help create a more authentic and enduring brand. The person we're looking for isn't a developer but they'll know the difference between JavaScript and ActionScript. They're not a designer but they know what Flash can do. They've heard of Silverlight, PaperVision and think Web 2.0 is sooo yesterday. Finally, they realize that some of the best interactive work has nothing to do with ones and zeros.

Position requires:
•	1-3 years of previous experience in an interactive services firm or comparable environment.
•	Some previous project or account management experience.
•	Passionate interest in all things interactive coupled with an understanding of branding.
•	Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
•	Organized and detailed under pressure of tight deadlines.
•	Ability to multi-task, prioritize and communicate concerns proactively when necessary.
•	Self-starter.

We're not after someone who is looking for a strictly administrative position but at the same time this person will need to be willing to do some admin work.

What’s in it for you? A great office environment, team, and the opportunity to go as far as your talents take you. Our clients range from Fortune 500 CPG brands to emerging growth companies. Our work encompasses packaging, interactive, strategy and more. Our environment is highly collaborative and our structure is extremely flat. We take good care of our people and as a result have very little turnover. If you gain great satisfaction from helping to create enduring identities and authentic designs then this is the place for you. We pride ourselves in being able to position our clients where they want to be: in their customers' hearts and on their minds.

In addition to your resume please include a brief cover letter detailing what sets you apart from all the other candidates. Avoid tired clichés (“outstanding attention to detail”, etc.) and give us a compelling reason to hire you. Resumes sent without a cover letter will not be considered - we want to hire a person, not a robot.

We’ve got an outstanding software development team that has done a great job creating new ways for us to interact with our clients anywhere in the world and to extract data from our innovative genetic tests. We focus on excellence and creativity. We are defining the way genetic testing, data mining and personalized medicine should mesh together in the future. If you have a - HTML/CSS/XML/JavaScript background, we should talk. We work with a great multimedia firm in Spokane, so editing and production skills aren't what we're looking for. We want a coder who has a good background in database systems and who has a good grounding in programming fundamentals.

More important than any specific skill set however, is a desire to confront challenges and devise innovative solutions to problems. Genoglyphix™ transforms our raw data into diagnoses in ways never before possible and the ideal candidate must possess the vision to make this happen.

We need someone with a strong, user-focused understanding of the design and development of fielded data, preferably with Django/Python experience.

What does PBwiki do?

Wikis are collaborative websites that lots of people can edit (Wikipedia is an example of a wiki-as-encyclopedia). You might use a wiki to plan a project or create an online classroom. Instead of sending 50 emails to coordinate something, you put files and pages in one secure place and let your team collaborate online. Try it out: You can create a PBwiki as easily as a peanut butter sandwich at PBwiki.com.
Want to know more? Here's a great demo of how wikis work. And in 2007, "wiki" was searched for more than "blog."

Key PBwiki stats:

400% annualized revenue growth since inception in 2005

Over 350% growth in the # of wikis hosted since last year

Small, growing team of 25 based in San Mateo, with a sales office in New Hampshire

We raised just over $2 million in venture capital

The job: Web Designer

Our Web Designer is our voice to our newest users. We're looking for a star web designer to communicate our message of collaboration and simplicity through our websites, emails, and marketing materials. You'll help shape the direction of that voice by designing and implementing a simple, clean design.

We're looking for...
    * A fan of standards-based, effective but minimalist design
    * A skilled communicator who's able to take competing messages and simplify them
    * Highly skilled at HTML/CSS/PHP, graphic design, and information design
      Key responsibilities
    * Create and maintain user-facing properties, including PBwiki.com, our blog, marketing/promotional sites, and emails
    * Focus on driving results through design -- we measure metrics, not prettiness!
    * Work cross-functionally to measure effectiveness of designs
    * Design collateral for widely different audiences, including educators and businesses
Qualifications

    * Rich portfolio of great design -- this is the single-most important qualification (required)
    * 3+ years of experience designing and implementing customer-facing websites
    * Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams to design/implement websites
    * Ability to manage unreasonably high demands of multiple projects
    * Experience split tests and multivariate testing (preferred)

Benefits of working at PBwiki

Dress is casual and compensation is competitive. Also, we have free lunches/espresso, gym memberships, and stock options for each employee. We really value you getting to know your co-workers, so if you want to take any other PBwiki co-worker out to lunch, we'll cover it. For fun, once a month we take the day off and do something fun, like indoor skydiving or a yacht tour of the Bay. And if you're not local to the Bay Area, we pay relocation expenses for extraordinary candidates.

But more importantly, working here gives you the chance to make changes that millions of users will see that very same week.

Apply for this position

Apply for this position by visiting http://www.pbwiki.com, creating a wiki, and playing around. Then, please send your portfolio and 3 suggestions for improving our website (http://www.pbwiki.com).
