Hi. I am a single mother who recently got out of a domestic violence situation. I was married for 19 years, my husband died and then I married someone else who turned out to not be who I thought he was. I have a son to support and a disability which keeps me in the house most of the time. I am taking online classes at TCC in hopes of being able to work again someday soon.

I don't tell you all of this to make you feel sympathetic (though if you do that's ok too :D ) but rather to help you understand my situation. I am in need of household items, everything basically from living room and bedroom furniture, to shelves, drawers, tables, etc. I could also use a working washer and (electric) dryer. I know I don't NEED a w/d but it would certainly help as my income is VERY limited and sometimes I just can't make the money stretch long enough to do laundry every week.

I have managed to get a kitchen table and chairs as well as some pots and pans and dishes and stuff, and someone recently gave me their old microwave when they bought a new one. I'm doing everything I can to bring us back up to where we were in the past, because when I left I had to leave in the middle of the night and left everything behind. It was either our safety or "stuff." I picked our safety. Christmas is coming and while I'm hoping that the Salvation Army might help with some food and maybe a gift for my son, it would just be really nice if we had a couch or something to sit on. You know?

So, if you can/are willing to help please email me and I can arrange for someone to come pick stuff up as long as it isn't too far; they will be helping me and I can't impose too much - you understand. Thank you so much.

my daughter is turning four in less than a week her birthday is November 21st and we have ran into some horrid money issues like a lot of good people have lately and just simply dont have the funds or resourses to do anything for her birthday and that is not ok. she hasn't stopped talking about it for weeks I placed an ad recently asking for some one who can help out with some clothing that she desperately needs and maybe a few toys in my ad i also stated that i didn't care if the items were new or used as long as they were in decent condition. Well i got a response from a man who said he would like to help and that he was a docter here in Tacoma. when we spoke the first time he asked how much i would need cash wise to handle all of it and l told him that i didn't need money if he wanted to just bring by some of the things she is needing that would be good and i gave him her sizes and she told me some things she was wanting in the toy department. Well when he called me back the next afternoon he asked me how much money again and said he didn't have kids so money would be easier and i told him that anything he felt comfortable offering would be wonderfull and the man told me he was going to drop off a rather generous amount of money(more than ive ever had for gifts for my children even at our best) so he said he would be by the next mornning to drop it off and well I spent the last four or so days telling people who could help with a little that they should help another family because I already found someone willing to help. Now after four or so days and only about 7 left until bday I have come to the realization that the man who chose to answer my ad and let me think that this was going to be the best bday and xmas we ever had well I believe its all bull and Im very hurt because I could have taken one of the other offers and had this all taken care of by now.

SO NOW HERE I AM PRAYING THAT SOMEONE HONEST CAN HELP US I AM NOT ASKING FOR MONEY I JUST WANT SOME WARM CLOTHES FOR MY DAUGHTER MAYBE A FEW FOOTY JAMMYS AND POSSIBLY SOME SHOES AND A TOY OR TWO THAT WOULD BE FINE OR IF YOU WOULD RATHER JUST GIVE CASH OR GIFT CARD ANYTHING WILL WORK AS LONG AS YOUR FOR REAL ABOUT HELPING. We are former U.S. Coast Guard licensed sailboat captains and presenters at Northwest Marine Trade Association. We're looking to move back aboard and are offering $1,000/month towards moorage & rent or lease to buy in the $150,000 range. If you're looking for a way for your boat to pay for itself, or willing to owner-finance then this may be a very good deal for you, and we are tired of being land-locked. We have excellent character and sailing references and can keep a vessel well maintained. We have a local business and grandchildren here so we're not looking to take off cruising for parts unknown with your boat.

Looking for a decent inexpensive upright freezer. We have combined families, and there are 7 of us on weekends, and we are having to buy meat in bulk to afford to feed them all and the food bank gives us lots of bread and frozen veggies, but goes bad too quickly, need place to store it...lol. My husband was laid off due to business closing last month, and I am unable to work as I am undergoing chemo for leukemia right now, so can't afford much. For the past three years my family(my fiance, our two young children and I) have sponsered/ adopted a family in need for christmas because no child should ever go with on christmas and even one present under the tree for mom and dad will make there holiday even better. And it feels good to know that you were able to help out another family even if only a little.

Well this past year has been one of the worst we went from being comfortable able to pay the bills keep food on the table and all the basics with a little fun money as we called it to litterally broke not able to even bye food for our children and not having the resources needed to get back (well not ontop but at least out of this whole)

There is a whole long story about how this happened and why it happened and even what we are doing to fix it but i would rather explain that in a personal message and not so every person on craigslist can email and comment about me and my family and judge with out even knowing us or the whole story.
