A Seattle-Tacoma based stone fabrication shop is looking to fill a full-time shop manager/lead fabricator position. This position requires a vast knowledge of and experience in templating, cutting, polishing, and installing natural stone and quartz materials. A full understanding of the properties and different qualities of natural stone and quartz materials is also required. Solid knowledge in the operation and daily maintenance of a bridge saw, fork lift, and hand tools is essential.
This job requires great work ethic, the upmost attention to detail, and excellent communication and note taking skills. The position also includes overseeing production assistants and managing their hours; while maintaining a non-smoking environment. Other duties include maintaining a safe working environment that is clean and free of debris, maintaining shop supplies and inventory, and having daily conversations with the office manager; regardless of timelines.
• Must have 8 or more years experience in the trade.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects
• Must have a current driver’s license.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation and a contact phone.
• Must have a firm understanding and speaking capabilities of the English language.
Starting Salary DOE plus performance based incentives. No medical. 20 day trial period.
