Customer Service Representative

Growing Gig Harbor Insurance Agency specializing in employee benefits is looking for the right individual to fill the full-time position of Customer Service Representative.

Top candidates will possess the following qualities:

• Skilled with Microsoft Office 2007 software including but not limited to the ability to effectively write business correspondence using Word and put together spreadsheets with formulas utilizing Excel. (Finalists will be tested)


• Comfortable learning to effectively use various software products


• Strong customer service & problem solving skills


• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Friendly, cheerful and helpful attitude


• Comfortable working in small, family-oriented office environment


• Reliable & dependable


• Good common sense & judgment

Major job responsibilities include:

• Manage daily administrative activities of office, including answering multi-line telephone system


• Manage new & renewal process for groups and individuals


• Keep accurate documentation of all client and company contacts, including telephone conversations and emails


• Provide front line service for all clients


• Manage digital filing cabinet


• General office functions such as office supplies, mail & organization

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary to be determined depending on experience


• Medical/vision insurance provided for employee after 90 days of employment

• 5 days sick leave per year

• Office hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with one hour lunch break
