<description><![CDATA[The Thurston Economic Development Council (EDC) in concert with the Thurston Climate Action Team is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a newly created position, Energy Efficiency Program Director. The Program Director will be a full time employee of the EDC and will report directly to the Executive Director. The over-arching strategy of this program is conceived and developed by the Thurston Climate Action Team -- a growing non-profit entity that will provide strategic oversight of this program's implementation. The program is as a result of a successful award of grant funding through the WSU's Energy Extension Program. The program director will manage an Energy Efficiency Program which encompasses three strategies: 1) Neighborhood campaign to promote energy audits and coordinate with vendors and contractors to complete retrofit projects / develop and implement workshops on low cost/no cost weatherization strategies; 2) Implement a similar program for commercial areas and centers; and 3) Work with vendors to develop and implement an equipment replacement program to promote energy efficient technologies. <br>
The Program Director will manage the Energy Efficiency Program with duties including but not limited to staff development, fiscal coordination and reporting and public liaison with key community partners and stakeholders. The program will provide homeowners and businesses with a one-stop approach for audits, advice, selection of contractors, attractive financing, utility rebates and project monitoring. <br>
The Program Director will have a demonstrated history of program management. Desired experience includes planning, designing and implementing community energy efficiency or environmental programs; and grant management.<br>

High school diploma or equivalent.  Graduation from accredited school of nursing. Current Washington State RN license.  One year of recent clinical nursing experience.  Preferred qualifications include: BSN level of education. 1-3 years Previous Urgent Care setting experience. Previous supervisory/leadership experience. CASE MANAGEMENT:		<br>

1. Interview homeless families for eligibility in HHH program.<br>
2. Establish time to move family into housing.<br>
3. Prepare lease and complete paperwork.<br>
4. Provide assessment of client families needs<br>
5. Schedule and maintain appointment with client families on consistent basis.<br>
6. Have weekly contact and schedule extensive time with client families  (i.e. listening time, goal setting, referral assistance, and building of trusted mentoring relationship)<br>
7. Consistently evaluate and access clients needed length of stay.<br>
8. Manage disgruntled/troubled clients and situations.<br>
9. Ensure Helping Hand House rules and regulations are being observed.<br>
10. Maintain files with case notes and all needed paperwork and documentation.<br>
11. Responsible for collection of rents, deposits and fees due from resident families.  This includes adjusting rental amounts as necessary, and ensuring that all income due from tenants is received and recorded accurately.<br>
12. Provide a monthly rental report of rental activity to Executive Director and Finance Director.<br>
13. Ensure that HHH follows HUD rules, and Landlord Tenant Policies which protect the rights of tenant families.<br>
14. Ensure that all funding requirements and documentation are satisfactorily maintained, and services are provided within program budgeted amount. <br>
15. Maintain contact with client for one year after client moves to other housing. <br>
16. Meet with Executive Director for supervision of work with families.<br>
17. Complete all reports required by funders and provide consistent data as requested by Development Director, Finance Director and Executive Director in timely manner. <br>

1. Identify services for which the client is eligible and assist in referral process.<br>
2. Locate all possible in-kind supports useable by families.<br>
3. Develop working relationship with DSHS, Work First, schools and other collaborative resources and participate in referral process and follow up as needed.<br>
4. Provide and assist with transportation resources for clients.<br>
5. Maintain client confidentiality.<br>

Including UNIT SUPPORT: 	<br>

1. Completely clean and prepare unit to pass internal staff inspection prior to moving family into unit. <br>

4. Provide information to Ex. Dir. regarding maintenance and repair needs and work with maintenance manager to insure completion.<br>

2. Arrange and teach life skills training classes for Bright Futures Program participants as needed.<br>
3. Provide documentation of participants and evaluation of each group life skills training class.<br>

HOUSING ADVOCATE:  		.05FTE<br>

1. Provide written letter of support for families searching for housing. <br>
2. Talk with possible landlords as appropriate.<br>

EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST:     .05FTE <br>

1. Schedule time for client to complete Bridges Assessment at HHH office. <br>
2. Arrange referral with WWEE, or other career assistance programs. <br>
3. Discuss education opportunities with client and encourage their participation<br>
4. Provide format and basic assistance in the development of a resume for program <br>
participants.<br>
5. Assist client in setting realistic employment goals.<br>
6. Work with client to prepare for interview (clothing, timing, verbal and nonverbal language).<br>
7. Practice interviewing with client at their request, or set up practice interview with Development Director.<br>
8. Maintain documentation regarding all services provided to client family regarding employment assistance.<br>

General Summary<br>
The Associate Director of Medical Education will, under the direction of the Director of Medical Education,  oversee and coordinate various educational activities produced by the Institute.<br>

Essential Functions<br>
o  Planning and production of new curriculum projects assigned by the Director of Medical Education (Symposium, Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP), Advance Practice Modules, Webinars, Publications, etc)<br>
o  Collaboration with the IFM curriculum committees in  planning, production and development of curriculum for continuing medical education (CME) related education events<br>

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br>

1. Receive and investigate requests for maintenance in apartments, common areas, commercial tenants and the exterior of buildings. <br>
2. Complete and track maintenance work orders and request forms. <br>
3. Work in conjunction with Program Directors to make vacant units ready for occupancy within 10 days of vacancy. <br>
4. Perform maintenance repairs or contract with outside vendor. Remedies may be in the form of plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, lock repair/replacement, etc. Types of repairs include, but are not limited to, the following: <br>
• Interior and exterior painting and touch-up. <br>
• Exterior power washing as needed. <br>
• Minor electrical repairs, such as replacing fixtures and switches. <br>
• Minor appliance repairs and/or recommendation of replacement. <br>
• Minor plumbing repairs, including toilets, faucets, and auguring drains. <br>
• Electronic key programming. <br>
• Replace filters, oiling and cleaning parts. <br>
5. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment and systems, as appropriate and needed. <br>
6. Perform weekly, monthly and annual maintenance inspections and complete all necessary paperwork as designated in On-site Property Management Manual. <br>
7. Understand the functions of all systems, including water, pump, electrical, fire, and airflow. Routinely observe and/or test these systems to determine that they are working properly and educate other staff members as needed about the functioning of these systems. <br>
8. Perform routine grounds maintenance to ensure a pleasant curb appeal. This may consist of sweeping/blowing grounds, picking up garbage and removing graffiti. <br>
9. Oversee interior and exterior janitorial duties performed by residents. <br>
10. Move furniture and assist tenants with hanging shelves in their apartments under the direction of the Program Directors. <br>
11. Educate tenants as to the correct use of apartment amenities. Communicate with tenants and staff for the purpose of understanding their concerns about the maintenance of their apartments and the building as a whole. <br>
12. Complete weekly janitorial duties as assigned. <br>
13. Respond to janitorial emergencies i.e., accidents in public areas, plugged toilets, etc. <br>
14. Carry pager and respond quickly to emergency calls. Take rapid action(s) to solve urgent problems and damage or harm to buildings and/or tenants. <br>
15. Alert Program Directors to non-maintenance and housekeeping areas of concern. <br>
16. Purchase/order supplies, equipment or services, to meet routine maintenance/janitorial/grounds needs and for special projects.  <br>
17. Attend staff meetings regularly. <br>
18. Contribute to the mission of the Archdiocesan Housing Authority and Catholic Community Services. <br>
19. Support a positive, team-oriented work environment. <br>
20. Other duties as assigned.<br>
SITE MONITORING<br>
1.	Monitor interior and exterior of building after hours.<br>
2.	Conduct perimeter checks nightly.<br>
3.	Respond to disturbances as needed.<br>

JOB CONDITIONS <br>
This position requires the employee to work in an environment where there may be exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious material. Other exposures could include cleaning supplies, chemicals involved in pest control, paint and other materials used in building maintenance, building temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and odors. <br>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Qualifications which applicant must possess to be considered for the position.) <br>
1. Two years maintenance experience. <br>
2. Working knowledge and experience with plumbing, electrical, and electronic lock systems. <br>
3. Working knowledge and experience with repair of plaster, wall repairs, and painting. <br>
4. Willing and able to learn fire control, HVAC, and gearless elevator systems. <br>
5. Good technological aptitude. <br>
6. Ability to learn pest control techniques. <br>
7. Willing and able to learn energy efficiency and commit to environmental preservation. <br>
8. Ability to work independently, prioritizing work tasks, and follow through to the completion of the task. <br>
9. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. <br>
10. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support up to 100 pounds. <br>
11. Ability to work within the mission, goals and objectives of Catholic Community Services. <br>
<br>
SUBSTITUTE QUALIFICATIONS: (Qualifications that may be substituted for the required item indicated.) <br>
May be substituted for one year of maintenance experience. <br>
1. Certificate of completion from a technical college in general building maintenance. <br>
2. Certificate of completion from a technical college in plumbing and electrical systems. <br>

1. Experience working with a diverse population in a residential environment. <br>
2. Experience performing general maintenance tasks in a high rise building. <br>
3. Experience in customer relations (internal and external). <br>
5. Experience in scheduling and delegation of tasks. <br>
6. Experience with computers, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets. <br>
7. Have a good driving record and possess a valid Washington drivers license<br>
