VERY EXPERIENCED METAL GUITARIST SEEKING BAND (Lakewood)

I have been playing metal guitar for 22 years. I'm looking for either Thrash, death, or Industrial metal band members. I'm willing to join a pre-exsisting band, but would prefer to put something new together since I already own a band name. I am very well equipped, with nothing but top notch gear. My inventory is as follows:

four guitars, (one Schecter Hellraiser Avenger, one B.C. Rich Jr V Deluxe, one ESP LTD F-250, and one ESP LTD Ax350 modified with EMG KFKs). All my guitars are neck-through construction for extra sustain and equipped with active EMG pickups.
My Amp is a Line 6 Vetta head with the interface mod installed and a floorboard controller. The head sits one top of two Randall Warhead cabinets, (One 4X12 with Celestion Vintage 30's and one 2X15 with two 15" Eminance drivers).
For recording I use a Line 6 UX2 with Riffworks and too many drummer session loops to list.
I also have a Dean Razorback neck-through const. bass with active pickups, a Carvin 300w 8 ch. PA with two JBL JRX 115 monitors, a KORG Triton 76 key work station, and several very nice mics.

This is just for fun(maybe), But... I am looking to connect with like minded folk who hear harmonies when they listen to a song. I have always wanted to do a vocal based kind of folk/variety group who could just show up and sing for the fun of it... Acoustic accompaniment is a bonus, but shouldn't be necessary. I'm thinking C.S.N, Doobie Bro's, Alabama, maybe a smattering of barbershop, and the like...
I am a 46 y/o Male, Bass/ Baritone W/ a fair higher range (for harmonies only in the upper range), Play guitar (25+ years), and told that I even snore in harmony! Having a "good ear" is more important that having the greatest voice, and a good personality is a must, because this is for fun, and I'd hate to make work out of fun. Hey, I posted the other day, but I didn't really put much. I am a 21 yr old college student working part time and im totally wanting to either start a band or join one. I play a few instruments, but not well enough to be playing one in a band, besides the harmonica and a recorder, which aren't usually in the band scene. i'm up for nearly every genre, but probably not rap, R&B, or similar music to that since I don't listen to it. I was in a band before, but right before we started to record, the other girl found out she was pregnant, so that was the end of that.
i'm not too good with technology, so i dont know how to put tracks online, but willing to accommodate to meeting up, and testing one another out.

The Lakewood Community Orchestra is a local group of musicians who come together to perform various pieces of music within the Lakewood/Tacoma area. We are currently in our Christmas rehearsal season, and are always looking for new members. If you, or someone you know, play a string, brass, woodwind, or a percussion instrument at a highschool or intermediate level, of any age, you are invited to join.

I�m tired of the metal scene. I don�t want to perform metal anymore�I�m completely burned out on it. I�m sick of trying to make music that raises people�s testosterone levels. I�m looking for a mellow rock band that has hints of jazz fusion, experimental, with some 70�s flare.

First off, I�m gay, so if that puts you off, look for another ad.

Secondly, I find music theory to be an important part of music writing. If you don�t know anything about scales other than the standard blues scale, please move on to another ad.

Third, I find it important that musicians I work with have a good enough of an ear that if I sing or play a note on the keyboards that you can actually find the note without having to ask what fret it is or what the name of the note is. I don�t care HOW skilled someone is with their instrument if they don�t have a good enough of an ear to be able to play things that they only have a chance to HEAR.

Fourth, I need to work with musicians who are ABLE to handle working with odd timings. If a song idea comes up that is in 7/8 timing (the count of 7), it would be nice if it didn�t take an hour just for all the members to be able to simply groove with the timing. Taking a LITTLE while to figure out what the timing is is fine�but I�m not going to be a music teacher in the next band I�m in--I�m just not doing that again unless the people are VERY receptive to learning something and learn quickly.

I know I�m asking for a lot, and I don�t expect to find a band anytime soon because of how much I�m asking for, but there�s no chance of finding a band I really want to be in if I don�t send out some feelers.

I am 25 years old and looking to form a band that just genuinely rocks. I have been playing for 14 years and I have a bass and 6 guitars. I don't have a large bass amp so I can't really play any stage shows as just a bass player, However, I can play guitar anyday. I would like to do as many local shows as possible as soon as I get a lineup. I have some digital home recording equipment and have been learning how to mix and master lately. I am looking for a singer (male or female), drummer, another guitar player and a bass player. If I find two guitar players that are interested and better than myself, I'll step back and play bass. I can jam at night time and on the weekends. I am in the Army, so occasionally that would hinder practices, but that wouldn't happen very often.

The International House of Prayer in Tacoma (IHOP-NW) is hosting auditions for musicians interested in joining a team to facilitate 2 hour sets of prayer/intercession. This is not a "church worship team." These are teams that write original music (in addition to playing more familiar songs) for the purpose of fueling intercession. There is a large flexibility for improvisation within each set and often richly experimental and hardly repitional from week to week.
Commitment to a team requires participation in the following...
1. One weekly scheduled practice
2. Two weekly scheduled prayer meetings
Tues: arrival 6pm, set is 7pm-9pm
Fri: arrival 6pm, set is 7pm-8pm
3. A prior personal commitment to a walking in the salvation of Christ and a lifestyle committed to living out the principles of the Bible in grace.
