While I was in college, I worked as a nanny for two wonderful little kids. I got paid 8 dollars an hour, to start. The RN I was working for made 20 dollars an hour. When she got a raise to 22/hr, she gave me a raise to 10/hr. She said she'd love to pay me more, but after childcare she was making 12/hr.

Now that I am a parent, I would never skimp on childcare. I buy shampoo and conditioner at Target instead of at the salon. We eat out a few less times per month. I no longer get every single movie channel. But I certainly will pay more for great childcare.

I cannot understand how someone can complain about paying someone to watch their children. I'm blessed to have my parents close by. My son's grandparents told me they "call dibbs" to get to watch him while I work, well before he was born. They enjoy their time with him, but they aren't always available. I have an on-call sitter, who comes to my home and cares for my son when his grandparents are unavailable. I pay her 13 dollars an hour, and I give her 50 dollars a month for gas, as she lives a considerable drive away. I try to keep groceries that she likes stocked.

I have a 'nanny cam', and I see that she takes great care of my son. She enjoys him. She spends her time taking care of him, interacting with him, enjoying him, not forcing him to play by himself or cry in his crib while she watches TV, spends time on myspace, or talks to her boyfriend on the phone (as others unfortunately have). She's good with my dogs. She doesn't have any housekeeping duties, but she always tidies up while my son naps. She never leaves a bottle or spoon in the sink. She unloads the dishwasher. I appreciate her.

I could certainly find someone who only charges 5 dollars an hour, but I wouldn't. I get what I want and need out of her employment, and I don't complain about it.
There are many luxuries in life that we often times enjoy without really being able to afford.
Safe, reliable, trustworthy childcare is not a luxury to me. If, for nothing else but piece of mind, the price of childcare is worth it, knowing my son is in the right hands.

I will even come to your house to babysit(but I can';t travel too far).... Or you can drop the child off at my house. I'm not picky, and I can do either. I do have a dog though, she is a malamute/husky mix, but she is very sweet tempered and would never hurt a fly, but if there is a problem with her in the house(my house) then I will keep her outside, I also have 2 cats who are clean and keep to themselves but loooove attention when offered. I just thought I would put that in just incase there is anything wrong with that due to allergies, ect... I am available 7am-5pm on M-F, maybe some weekends, but I usually go to my home town with my husband... But the occasional weekend can work. I do have prior commitments for Tuesdays and Fridays everyweek for my mother in law, and I have to drive to take her son from his highschool(Mt. Tahoma) to his therapy, (nothing phsycological) I have to pick him up at 2pm, and it's about a 15 minute drive from the school to the therapy... I do not mind taking you child along, just wanted you to know ahead of time, so there are no surprises. If there is anything else you would like to know, then you can email me anytime.

I am a single mom with two great boys. They are 7 and 5. They are very well behaved and need someone fun to come and hang out with them while im working my night shift. We live in north tacoma between stadium dist. and proctor. I would need someone from about 3:30 when they get out of school until up to 2 am just on friday nights. They go to bed at 8-8:30 so if you are a student you would only have to hang out with them for a few hours and then could do your school work at my house. I am also wanting maybe one other night a week either a wednesday or a saturday so i could do something social. :) so that night would probably be from around 8-2am. Safety concerns about Angels daycare (everywhere)

I recently visited Angels daycare in Spanaway and i noticed that the walk way to the outdoor play area was not very safe. Kids where not properly supervised on the jumper. There was also alot of trash outside the kitchen door where kids walk and play.

The place is set up beautifully but kids should be in a safer environment rather than a prettier one.

I am a 32 year old wife and mother of 3 ages 11,9,7 I have 7 Brothers and Sisters ranging in age from 23 to 11 Yes I said 11 my youngest sister is 5 months younger than my oldest daughter! One of my siblings has down syndrome so I have taken special needs classes for behavioral and acedemic awareness.

I have completed my CPR/FIRST Aid for INFANTS/CHILD and ADULT I have done the HIV training I have had a current TB Test (Negative) I have passed the WA state background check

I have a provider number #397185 I have completed Stars Training I have gone through the Love and Logic Classes Just so I could learn More. I have done Childcare for 14 years I Love kids and Art projects and I love to take Pictures so you get a mommy book of your childs progress!

I am flexible with hours Since 80% of my money goes back on the kids anyway I am obviously not in it for that so you know your child will be in good hands.

Hello. I am an at home mom with a blended family of 7 children, 4 of which we have fulltime. Needless to say, I am very experienced. My children are 3, 2 and 3 months and I have an 8 year old who attends Pope Elementary. I care for another 2 yr old M-Th and I am looking to care for 1 or 2 more children full or part-time in my home. My home is open to children from ages 1 and up and I can also provide before and after school care for those parents who have children attending Pope Elementary. My rates are very reasonable and I would be willing to work with parents who need early bird drop off and or late pick up or evening care for parents who work the late shift. Aside from diapers and maybe their favorite blankie, the kids would have everything they need as far as meals and snacks and fun.
