I have a large dog, so I would prefer to rent a place with a back yard; however, this is not a necessity. She is a nine year old lab mix who is way past the puppy stage!! I currently take her to doggie day care once a week and I would like to continue that upon moving down south!

If you would like a room with all utilities included, in a nice cooperative and respectful environment, where you have just as much say as your roommates, then this is the place for you!

We are renting out the 2 bedrooms in the lower unit of our duplex. It is in Tacoma, a few minutes up the hill from downtown (5 minutes to I-5.) It is 1 block from a Safeway, and 1 block from the bus line. Both rooms are available immediately. We do not currently live there, but are nearby. There is currently a super nice couple living there who keep the shared areas of the house clean and the yard mowed.

Both bedrooms are pretty good-sized. They are each $575/month. These rental amounts include ALL utilities for 1 person: water/wastewater/sewer/garbage, electricity, oil heat, house phone, digital cable (box in each room), and high-speed wireless internet. Utilities are $50 extra if 2 people share a room. Each roommate will be expected to be respectful of one another. Smoking will be allowed outside only.

$300 deposit per room, payable over first few months if needed. No credit check is required. Month-to-month or longer lease is fine. Everyone will be expected to sign a rental agreement (even month-to-month) which will preserve their rights as tenants. (No wondering if you’re going to be thrown out without 30 days notice, but you can also be evicted if you do not pay your rent.)

Pets are okay with an extra non-refundable fee based on size, also payable over the first few months if needed.

It is a gorgeous duplex! The shared unit is the entire downstairs of the house, 1700sqft, 1 nice-sized bathroom. It has a huge kitchen with a breakfast nook, refrigerator, stove/oven, and dishwasher. Also a large basement with tons of storage and a washer and dryer. The large side yards and back yard are all fully fenced. There is a deck off the back porch door with newly rebuilt stairs to the yard, and a great view out back. This is a fun block where the neighbors are nice and take care of their homes and yards. It is a mix of homeowners and renters, with a few other multi-family houses.

We are a Army Family looking for a house to rent in a nice community. We have 3 kids , 2 weiner dogs and some fish and 2 turtles . we currently live on base. I have severe asthma and quite a few allergies. My dr has requested that housing remove the carpet to improve my health but they refuse to do so,or to accomidate us in another way. So we are hoping to move off base into a house with no carpet or with limited carpet. I do have a dehumidifier. We can work with deposits with payments or such. We are looking for at least a 2 bdrm house/townhome/duplex with a w/d hookup, garage with room for a chest freezer too, at least a partially fenced yard or able to fix up a small area, and a spot to park our small aluminum boat/trailer. We aren't expecting anything fancy, just nice (not rundown). And the owner would have to accept our small female dachshund who DOES do her business outside-not inside.
We are not interested in living in the Tillicum/Woodbrook/McChord main gate areas. Nor are we interested in sharing a place, or fluctuating rent each month based on work exchange.
Ideally, rent would be no more than $840.00 per month. Guess one might say that we are expecting a miracle based on today's rental market, but then we are a believer!
Please do not call with offers of places that are quite some distance from our preferred area, with offers that are much more expensive than our budget will allow, or with offers of rent in exchange for major repairs to your rental. We do not want to waste your time or ours.
