Our Project Environmental Scientist will assist with the execution and management of wetland, fisheries and/or wildlife projects. Prepare wetland delineation reports, function assessments, mitigation plans, and other environmental compliance/permitting documents. Conduct and supervise stream, wetland and wildlife habitat assessments. Supervise construction and installation of wetland and stream mitigation projects. Prepare Biological Evaluations/Assessments for Section 7 consultation. Prepare and manage Environmental Impact Statements. Direct work of other staff members, prepare bids and proposals, and manage projects. Represent clients throughout the development permit process. Assist with various tasks as assigned to assure successful project completion.
Location may be Port Orchard or Tacoma, WA based on candidate preference.
Preferred Qualifications: BS in Wetlands, Botany, Fisheries, Wildlife or related field. MS preferred. 3-5 years previous experience performing wetland delineations, impact and functional assessments, stream assessments and mitigation plans. Working knowledge of Northwest flora/fauna and soils and experience with wide range of species and habitats. Successful permitting experience with CWA Section 404 and Pacific NW regulations. Endangered Species Act compliance experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong technical writing and computer skills.
Candidates with Washington/Oregon project experience highly desired.

The Gig Harbor office of HDR is looking for a Commissioning and Facility Services Sr. Commissioning Agent. The primary duties of the Sr. Commissioning Agent include planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of large multi-discipline projects or medium sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving project staff. May be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. Establishes client relations and is involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. Conducts design development and contract document work sessions at the project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Is responsible to coordinate the staffing and workload of the staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Works with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and the Department Manager for project reviews. Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures. Responsible for execution of training for personnel as established by strategic plans. Typically supervises large project staffs and acts as mentor for less experienced Project Managers. Other possible locations may include Seattle, Bellevue, Burlington, Olympia, and Spokane.
Experience Required:
10+ years experience with Commissioning of Facilities.
Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication both written and verbal skills. Prefer experience in healthcare, lab, and civic buildings providing an owners representative style of facilities/commissioning services.
