We are looking to hire Building Systems Engineers/Commissioning Agents to support our clients in western Washington, position is based in Tacoma, Washington. As an owner’s representative, you will confirm that building systems are designed, installed, functionally tested and can be operated and maintained to the owner’s operational needs. <br>

Qualified candidates must have experience in mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, controls, fire/life safety and HVAC systems in commercial buildings, ships, or submarines.  The successful candidate will need at least 5 years experience with mechanical, electrical and controls systems.  They must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot HVAC, TAB, & BMS controls, and have excellent report writing skills.  They must also have a solid understanding of operational requirements, safety requirements, code inspections and maintenance considerations.  Design experience is a plus.  A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field is preferred.  Bilingual Korean/English for the international assignment is a plus.  <br>

The Gig Harbor office of HDR is looking for a Commissioning and Facility Services Sr. Commissioning Agent. The primary duties of the Sr. Commissioning Agent include planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of large multi-discipline projects or medium sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving project staff. May be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. Establishes client relations and is involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. Conducts design development and contract document work sessions at the project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Is responsible to coordinate the staffing and workload of the staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Works with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and the Department Manager for project reviews. Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures. Responsible for execution of training for personnel as established by strategic plans. Typically supervises large project staffs and acts as mentor for less experienced Project Managers. Other possible locations may include Seattle, Bellevue, Burlington, Olympia, and Spokane. <br>

Experience Required:<br>
10+ years experience with Commissioning of Facilities. <br>
Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication both written and verbal skills. Prefer experience in healthcare, lab, and civic buildings providing an owners representative style of facilities/commissioning services.<br>
Must have the ability to lead projects, mentor staff, and maintain client relationships. Minimum Experience: 5<br>
