We are looking for a talented individaul with warehouse managment/supervisory experience. Animal Supply Company, an industry leading high-growth wholesale/distribution Company with $120mm in annual sales and 300 employees headquartered in Federal Way, WA. The Fife Distribution center is our largest facility among 4 other distribution centers in 5 states. This individual Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse employees to ensure efficient daily operations of the warehouse.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Directs and supervises staff and supervisors to ensure the completion of daily assigned tasks
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Interviews for new staff and makes hiring decisions.
• Conducts and/or coordinates the training and cross-training of personnel.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
• Resolves employee issues and handles employee discipline.
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
• Ensures safe, productive work environment and that all tasks are completed in an efficient manner.
• Follows and enforces Company expectations and policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree in Management a plus but not required
Managment Experience Required within a Distribution Setting
Supervisory experience with more than 10 employees
Management Experience of supervisory level or lead level employees a plus


CERTFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Forklift Driver Certification. Valid Drivers License.

Must be able to lift 100lbs
Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check is required for All ASC positions.
