The great thing I liked about this drive enclosure is it does NOT require external power and is powered from either the eSATA or USB 2.0 port/cable. This is a great drive for Laptops (and even other consumer electronics i.e. LCD TV's..see note below) or any other device where size, portability and power is an issue.

You can also very easily (only 2 tiny screws) upgrade the hard drive later if more space is required.

Asking only $50 (or best offer). The external case ALONE cost me over $50 so it would be like getting the hard drive for free and for a product that was trouble free for me it paid for itself very quickly and more.

Note - Another great use for the drive I discovered, was it worked with every one of the LCD TV's that I tested it with (Samsung and Sony) that had USB ports (actually this was the 1st drive I have ever had that has worked with everything I have that accepts USB storage) and the drive was detected and functioned without any problems (no USB power problems at all).

Id like to add that I did not expect a bus powered external hard drive enclosure to work so well with everything I have which was such a welcome surprise and added so much to the value that I almost hate to sell it and wouldnt if I already didnt have another one. :)

This was the first product that was really good and solid which delivered exactly what I needed it for, connecting old game systems to my monitor and they looked GREAT too. Most older video game systems are low resolution but this box upconverts the video signal to your monitors native resoltion which normally looked a little off or blurry but this box made everything I connected to it look amazing, and ended up looking better than they would have on a regular TV. Most boxes (and all that I have tried) that have the same abilities are no where near the quality of this box. You will not be disappointed if this is what you are looking for. It also comes with a remote which comes in handy when connecting a TV signal source like a cable box.
