Equifriends improves the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through equine assisted activities. You can make a difference in a person's life. Our in-class volunteers work with our horses and our students to make the riders' experiences both safe and enjoyable. You will groom and equip the horse prior to the lesson, lead (guide the horse) or side-walk (walk next to the rider to support him or her) during the lesson and help put the equipment and the horses away after class. The time commitment is for one class a week for the duration of the 10 week session. If you are unable to committ to a full session we do have substitute opportunities. Class schedules vary Tuesday through Saturday beginning as early as 8:30am and ending as late as 7:45pm. Contact Gabi at gabi@equifriends.org with questions or to sign-up for an orientation. Our facility is located in Snohomish close to Hwy 9 and I-5. Due to the nature of the activities volunteers must be 14 years old or older.
