Title of Position: Technical Writer
Department: Customer Service/Technical Support
Description:
Responsible for researching, writing and up-dating user-oriented procedural and reference documentation (operators/service manuals, technical notes, repair and installation instructions, specifications, etc.) for Electronics Manufacturing Company.
Qualifications:
AS degree in related field or tech writing certification desired.
2+ years of technical document preparation.
Must be able to read engineering drawings and incorporate them into a document.
Must be proficient with Adobe InDesign, Adobe illustrator and/or PageMaker.
Must show demonstrated ability to research, comprehend and document the detailed operation, performance, installation, assembly, service, repair and specifications of manufactured equipment.
Background in the renewable energy or Marine/RV field preferred.
Background in AutoCAD and Visio is helpful.
Responsibilities
Interface with marketing/technical/engineering personnel
Generate technical documentation for related products/projects
Must be able to work on deadline-driven projects
Able to work on multiple projects concurrently
Strong interpersonal skills required
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to complete tasks independently.
